Our bedrooms and suites
Following our recent renovation, Château de la Forge now features six beautifully appointed bedrooms on the first floor, all accessed via the grand oak staircase. Each room includes an en-suite bathroom with a generously sized walk-in shower for a truly comfortable stay.
All bedrooms are furnished with luxurious king or super-king-size beds, dressed in top-quality linens. Each space has been individually decorated to reflect its own character and charm. We’ve named the rooms after some of our favourite towns and villages in the Périgord - a nod to this enchanting region and the many places waiting to be discovered. Come and explore our rooms - you might just find a new favourite of your own.

Suite Sarlat
Named after one of the most beloved towns in the Périgord Noir, Sarlat has long been the château’s principal bedroom. With soaring ceilings reaching 4.5 metres, the room features exposed oak beams and its original marble fireplace.
Double-aspect windows facing south and west bathe the space in natural light and offer sweeping views of the west terrace and the 18-metre heated swimming pool below. And its en-suite bathroom is elegantly appointed with a marble-topped double washbasin and a spacious walk-in shower, offering comfort and style in equal measure.

Suite Beynac
Beynac is our largest suite - a bright, triple-aspect room flooded with natural light throughout the day, thanks to its large French windows facing east, south, and west. At its centre stands a super-king-size bed, accompanied by a beautifully restored antique wardrobe and a chest of drawers. A writing desk, thoughtfully placed next to the large French windows, offers a peaceful spot to sit, write, or read while overlooking the gardens and rolling fields that surround the house. A serene and elegant retreat.
Beynac also features its own luxurious en-suite bathroom, facing east with views over the terrace and gardens. Thoughtfully designed for both comfort and indulgence, it includes a marble-topped double washbasin, a two-metre-long double-ended walk-in shower, and a freestanding Imperial roll-top bathtub. It’s the perfect place to begin your day’s adventures - or to unwind in peaceful luxury after a day of exploring the Périgord.
Room Issac
Facing south, Issac is the first of two adjoining, symmetrical rooms - though each has its own unique character and style.
This inviting room features a generous king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, and rich dark blue walls that bring warmth and elegance in every season. A serene and comfortable space to relax and recharge.
Room Eymet
Perfectly symmetrical to Issac and equally south-facing, Eymet features two twin beds that can be combined to form a king-sized bed, offering flexible accommodation options for your stay.
Room Monpazier
Monpazier, facing west, offers stunning views over the swimming pool and the often spectacular red sunsets. The room is furnished with a large king-size bed and an elegant English antique wardrobe, complete with a special spot reserved for your hat - should you choose to bring one along.
Room Belves
Belves, facing east, enjoys breathtaking sunrise views over the formal garden. One of our largest rooms, it features a comfortable super-king-size bed, a dedicated writing desk, and a spacious en-suite bathroom complete with a bathtub and shower. A serene and luxurious space to start your day in the most beautiful way.
